A big thank you to all the staff at Spirotech Group for helping the community to stay safe!

Spirotech Group’s Director Russell Gadsby relates how Spirotech’s skills are coming into play to help out during these difficult times .

“We were approached by the Sawtry Covid19 response group. This community action group, set up and coordinated by Joanne Hutchinson is assisting with this crisis on a local level, to ensure the elderly and vulnerable within our community are being looked after; getting food, medicines and essential supplies delivered. The Post Office was due to close at the end of last week, given the fact that the proprietor was worried for the safety of staff. As you can imagine, this caused a degree of distress among residents, as they wouldn’t be able to access pensions and benefits. The action group suggested a screen across the counter and asked Spirotech if we would help. Without hesitation our staff stepped up; measuring the area, ordering the materials and fitted the screens promptly. The Post Office is now open again, which is great news for our village and the people who depend on it so much”.

Since then Spirotech has supplied and fitted screens for Boots the Chemist in Sawtry, and is in the process of fitting a screen for John Green’s Premier store.

Russell continued,

“Spirotech is only too glad to be doing our bit for the Village. If everyone pulls together during this crisis we will come out the other side a stronger and more resilient community”.
