A very worthwhile meeting took place at Spirotech Group’s HQ last week as Spirotech’s Directors welcomed MP Shailesh Vara, County Councillor Simon Bywater, and Police and Crime Commissioner candidate Darryl Preston, for a tour of the design and manufacturing facilities.

Spirotech Group is one of the largest worldwide suppliers of bulk materials handling products and systems and the visit gave the team of designers and engineers a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the many projects Spirotech manufacture, for both UK and overseas customers.

Spirotech has maintained a strong output during these difficult coronavirus pandemic months and, in addition to the invaluable work providing protective screens for the local community, has just been rewarded for hard work and dedication with a multi-million pound contract to supply twenty trash rack screens as part of the cooling water intake screening system at Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, which is currently under construction in Somerset.

Opportunities abound at Spirotech

Spirotech Director Russell Gadsby adds,

It was a pleasure to meet with our visitors and I was delighted to be able to share with them some of the details of our latest special projects and expand on the additional employment opportunities that the Hinckley Point C power station contract will bring to Cambridgeshire. We also discussed Spirotech’s aspiration to further increase our apprenticeship programme, offering excellent opportunities for young people to enter into the manufacturing industry. We are very glad of the support that surrounds our business and Spirotech Group wish Darryl every success with his ongoing campaign.
