Increased growth prompts move to larger premises for Spirotech York Ltd Service & Maintenance business

The continuing increase in growth of Spirotech’s installation, service and maintenance division has resulted in a recent move to larger premises in York. The team, headed up by Spirotech’s Business Development & Sales Director Steve Moore, offer a full silo service from installation and removal of redundant silos to a comprehensive maintenance, spares and repairs programme for all bulk handling, pressure vessels, screw conveyor and storage equipment.

Steve Moore commented about the move:

We are very pleased to have purchased these particular premises. Our year-on-year growth led us to look for premises that will be expandable in the future, with excellent facilities and good geographical access as our service contracts, now close to 50 in number, increase across the UK and into Europe.

Qualified personnel give Spirotech the advantage

The highly skilful team has between them a wealth of silo and bulk handling experience and Spirotech York Ltd’s Site Services Manager, Jonathan Burrows, holds the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in ‘Controlling Lifting Operations – Planning Lifts’ which gives Spirotech a huge advantage in forward planning lift operations and creating crane plans which enable logistically challenging operations to run smoothly. The team also research and develop products that will be useful additions for their customers and, with silo safety in mind, developed the first-rate Ground Level Silo Testing System which reduces the need to climb to roof level to check the operation of pressure relief valves, level probes and pressure monitors.

In addition to the planning, sales and site services team, the division includes five fully qualified engineers, experienced in both mechanical and electrical systems, who are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Spirotech’s mission is to make sure that plants are kept working to the optimum performance at all times and, as such, Spirotech’s rapid response spares service is second to none.
