When a major multinational company required the design and manufacture of large-scale mixing and holding tanks—complete with limpet-style heating and cooling coils—they turned to Spirotech SRD Group for a comprehensive solution.
Stringent quality requirements
Each tank was engineered with a capacity of 60m³, standing over 7 metres tall with an internal diameter of 3.5 metres. Constructed vertically with supporting legs and an access platform, the tanks were fabricated from T304L stainless steel. The design adhered to national pressure equipment standards and featured a 2B (dull polished) internal finish to meet stringent quality requirements.
3D modelling
To maintain optimal temperature control, thermal insulation was incorporated into the design. Every tank was modelled in 3D, allowing the client to fully visualise the solution and ensure it met all specifications prior to production.
All units have now been successfully installed at the client’s UK manufacturing facility.
