On the 22nd September the staff from Spirotech-SRD head office took part in a team building day at the Daytona karting track in Milton Keynes.
Competing as teams of three to complete as many laps as possible and to win the race, drivers had to share a kart – ideal for building bonds and relationships and ensuring that everyone contributed to the task. Each team driver took to the circuit in the practice session to try to help qualify their kart as high up the grid as possible – and then again in their race stints.
Just like a Le Mans race!
Communication and teamwork was vital, as each driver had to return to the pits mid-race, refuel and hand over to a colleague, just like in a Le Mans race!
Director Russell Gadsby commented:
The day was designed to cover a couple of different areas, build bonds and relationships between our staff and also to say a big thank you to everyone who have worked so hard over the last year in all areas of the business. The staff really have stepped up to the mark ensuring Spirotech-SRD Group continues to flourish. It was great to leave the day to day stress of work and get out and have some fun.
