A very worthwhile meeting took place at Spirotech Group’s HQ last week as Director Russell Gadsby welcomed Conservative MP candidate Ben Obese-Jecty, a former Army Officer and now Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Huntingdon.
Accompanied on the visit by Cllr Simon Bywater and Cllr Ross Martin, Ben was shown around the design and manufacturing areas before embarking on a lengthy talk with the directors to discuss various issues, both local and national, in relation to the engineering trade.

It was a pleasure to meet with our visitors and I was delighted to be able to share with them some of the details of our latest projects and expand on the additional employment opportunities that the Hinckley Point C power station contract continues to bring to Cambridgeshire. We also discussed the need for more apprenticeships and opportunities for young people in engineering. The visit also gave us an opportunity to discuss some of the issues facing many businesses in the area, from road, rail, and bus infrastructure to affordable housing.
Spirotech Group is one of the largest worldwide suppliers of bulk materials handling products and systems and the visit gave the team of designers and engineers a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the many projects Spirotech manufacture, for both UK and overseas customers. It was great to see the support that surrounds our business and Spirotech Group wish Ben every success with his ongoing campaign.
