Safety First Whilst Working at Height (WAH)

All Spirotech engineers have been trained using the Gotcha Rescue at Height system, ensuring they are fully competent in carrying out safe and effective rescue procedures while working at height. 

The training provides practical, hands-on experience in controlled rescue techniques, reinforcing correct use of equipment, risk awareness, and emergency response. This ensures our engineers can operate with confidence, maintain compliance with working-at-height requirements, and uphold the highest standards of safety for themselves and others on site.

Spirotech always allow for two engineers to attend site whilst working at height to eliminate lone working.

Silo Servicing & Maintenance Scheme

As part of our commitment to safe and reliable operation, we offer a comprehensive silo service/maintenance scheme to ensure all components continue to function as intended and in accordance with industry best practice. 

Our silo servicing scheme includes the following:

  • Full visual inspection/test of the filer/venting unit, including the removal and cleaning of the filter/venting media
  • Removal and cleaning of the pressure relief devices (PRV)
  • Removal and cleaning of level measurement devices.
  • Inspection of silo access hatch 
  • System valve checks associated with the silo.
  • Inspection of Discharge aids and screw conveyor etc.

We will also carry out a visual inspection of the silo to assess for signs of wear, corrosion, or potential moisture ingress. 

Routine servicing helps to identify potential issues at an early stage, maintain safe filling conditions, reduce the risk of unplanned downtime, and extend the operational life of the silo and associated equipment.

Silo Remedial/Upgrade Work 

As well as servicing storage silos we can also offer upgrades/remedial work i.e. new silo filter units, inlet pipes, additional discharge aids, patch repair work, roof top cleaning, new screw conveyors etc.
