Spirotech’s Russell & David Gadsby were delighted to support the Mayor of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough’s Inaugural Charity Ball on the 29th June.
The backdrop for the event was The Lady Chapel at Ely Cathedral which is a truly stunning location.
Moving speeches
The guests were privileged to listen to speeches from both military staff and a serving police officer, where they shared some of their harrowing and very moving experiences including the July 7th bombings in London, Northern Ireland and the Balkans.
Russell Gadsby commented:
I don’t think anyone in the room wasn’t left unmoved by the unimaginable situations these men were subjected to on a regular basis.
Raising awareness and funds
Proceeds from the event will go to PTSD999, which helps emergency services personnel who are suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder. The event not only drew more attention to the good work PTSD999 does but raised over £12,000 in the process.
